The Daily Decade Prayercast 3.47

Series 3, Ep. 47: Lessons of Ireland

Direct Download

The Daily Decade for the Feast of S. Patrick of Ireland is on the lessons in applied Christianity we learn from the Irish, above all that a people only becomes who they were meant to be through their acceptance of Christ as their King.

God love you!

Pray for Ireland, where churches remain shuttered, infanticide now runs in the tens of thousands, and sodomy is rampant, all the result of campaigns paid for by American money. Pray for Ireland and perform reparations and penances for the great evil America does, for which its people will answer in the Judgement in direct proportion to our willingness to do penance even – especially – for those evils we have no immediate power to stop.

It is Lent! Remember St. Thomas Aquinas definition of “effeminicacy” when you shrink from your mortifications:

Perseverance is deserving of praise because thereby a man does not forsake a good on account of long endurance of difficulties and toils: and it is directly opposed to this, seemingly, for a man to be ready to forsake a good on account of difficulties which he cannot endure. This is what we understand by effeminacy, because a thing is said to be “soft” if it readily yields to the touch… properly speaking an effeminate man is one who withdraws from good on account of sorrow caused by lack of pleasure, yielding as it were to a weak motion.
