    Roscoe,

A good workaround if you’re willing to drop about 60-70 bucks is a dremel with the plunge router attachment. I’ve been practicing with one lately and it is much much easier to keep on track than a full sized router, although it is slower. I have taken to using the dremel to outline and give myself a good buffer for my carving, then using the full sized router to clear larger patches. A good marker outline or, if you can get some, a piece of hardy board helps to keep you on track as well. Hardy board is worth the investment for its uses alone, and you can usually find some by a dumpster fairly often.

Hope you find a CNC router, but if not this may be of use. Enjoyed the episode

    Thanks,
    Poplar

Hey guys, I was listening to your show and heard you were looking for some one with a CNC router table.

I just just got mine assembled and was actually getting ready to make you all a plaque with your emblem on it.

My machine isn’t big enough to do a desk top but I can do a panel you can inlay in to the desk, the machine can do panels up to 15.5×15.5” All I need is a good copy of your emblem and a little time.
